Due: Wednesday, October 14, 2009
Description: In our unit on the Age of Exploration we will investigate the motives of European explorers in the 15th and 16th centuries, identify the impact of new technologies related to navigation and sailing, track exploration routes and finally evaluate the impact exploration had on Europe, Native Americans and the world today.
Setting up your explorer page.
1. Go to the Navigator section at the right of the page.
2. Open the folder which your explorer belongs in.
3. Click the Options icon on the bottom in the Navigator box.
4. Click the New button at the top of the page and select Create a Page.
5. Type in your explorers name for the Page Title and click Create Page.
Notes
-
You should type and save all of your work in a Word document first. After your work is saved you can copy and paste it into your explorer page. This will act as a back-up.
-
Be sure to give all of your files appropriate names (e.g., Columbus map AC or Hudson bio AC). Notice that I included my explorers name along with the content of the document and my initials. This will make it easier to locate and identify your work.
Help!
Need some help, check out the Side Bar section at the right of the page below the Navigator box. You will find key documents, maps and useful links.
