 BIOGRAPHY

In 1450 in Genoa,Italy Giovanni Cabot was born. When he was eleven his family moved  from Genoa, Italy to Venice,Italy. Giovanni as a boy was very interested in exploring. He wanted what was out in the world. So at age 24 he got married, had three sons, and leggaly changed his name to John Cabot. When he turned 40 yearsn old he moved his family to Bristol,England to explore the world. On March 5,1496 King Henry the IIV gave John permission to sail west tolook for new islands and countrys. So one year later on May 2,1497 John left from Bristol on his first voyage. On June 9, 1497 he reached the new world and seventeen days later he began his trip home. he arrived home on August 6th. On February 3,1498 he got permission for his second voyage to discover more land. he left with 300 men and 5 ships. In late 1498 he started his trip back home. But only 1 ship returned and that marked the death of the explorer John Cabot.

            SUMMARY

I think explorer John Cabot deserves to be in the Hall of Fame because he risked his life looking for land for England and the land that he discovered we now use in present day America. So that is why I think he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.

                                                  Reflection

In the 15th and 16th centuries exploration is the same in space as on land. For land and space explorers they to want to make great discoveries that will make them heros and will change the world. They risk their lives to discover new land and new planets that we can live on. They also go on these great journeys for themself to make money for their families and for themselfs.
